I found this You do not reset the scale. It only saves the last recorded weight of the user. So, if you weighed yesterday, it will put your recorded weight in memory. The next time you select your user number and step on the scale, it will compute the difference from your previous record and save your current weight. I had the same problem and, suspecting that the metal contacts weren't making proper contact with the batteries, I used a long nosed pliers to gently bend all ten contacts towards to the batteries (there are eight small tabs in the battery compartment, and two on the battery cover). If you don't have a long nosed pliers a small screwdriver should do it if you held the fixed part of each set of contacts so it doesn't detach during the process. Unfortunately, it worked, but only for one weigh, and then it reverted to 'Lo'. This happened twice, so I telephoned the Salter Customer Service Helpline (83) who recommended a reset, which is done by removing the batteries, standing on the scale for 20 seconds, and replacing the batteries.
