Microsoft Virtual Machine 64 Bit

Microsoft 64 Bit Codec

Hello, still trying to get more familiar with virtualization but currently my physical machine is running Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit and when I set up a virtual machine via Windows Virtual PC and then point it to install a Windows 2008 Server 64 bit OS.iso file it shows the following error in the guest vm: Attempting to load a 64- bit application, however this CPU is not compatible with 64-bit mode. I ran the 64 bit machine checker utility file and it confirmed my physical machine can support 64 bit os guest vms. In looking around I've even tried to update my physical machine's BIOS to enable virtualization but still get this error message and can't install a 64 bit OS on a guest vm. I can get Windows 2008 Server 32 bit up as a guest vm but how can I get any 64 bit OS guest vm up & running on my physical machine? Thanks in advance.

Regsvr32 On 64 Bit Machine

Windows 7 (64 bit) and Virtual PC (64 bit). Microsoft MVP Virtual Machine. I guess you're right, it's technically not a VM at that point. Windows Virtual PC (64-bit) is the latest Microsoft virtualization technology that let you run more than one operating system at the same time on one computer.

Have a look at my solution to the above.

I have installed 64 bit Windows 7. I went to the MSDN subscription downloads and grabbed a copy of Virtual PC 2007 (64 bit) and installed it. Then I tried to install Windows 2008 server (64 bit) in a virtual environment. It said that this OS needs a 64 bit environment to install on. I took another look at the version of virtual PC and it installed in the x86 program files folder.

I am positive I downloaded the 64 bit version. Style Works 2000 Serial. There are two different copies of the 64 bit version on MSDN subscription downloads. Download Experimental Pulse Nmr Pdf Software. One is multi language.

I have tried both and both want to install in the x86 program files folder. The install screen says nothing about 64 bit. Could this have been mislabeled?
